Students’ Association

All the Departments have Students’ Association with the Department students as members and faculty as advisors. Department students’ Association conducts frequent guest lecture programmes, arrange for industrial visits and conduct various competitions. The grand activity of the Association is conduct of Annual Technical Symposium, which gives a platform for students from various Polytechnic Colleges all over Tamilnadu to present their Technical talents by presenting papers on topics of modern development in the field of Engineering.

National Service Scheme

In order to inculcate a mind set in the youth, to serve the society, two units of NSS are functioning in the College. Two Programme Officers are guiding the NSS activities and willing students can enroll themselves as members in NSS and volunteer themselves in various Socio Economic Development activities, oriented towards the downtrodden poor people living in rural, backward and slum areas.

Annual NSS camp for seven days is conducted in any one of the most backward/under developed rural area. Students undertake voluntary service works like laying roads, cleaning trenches and sewage canals, cleaning religious places, training rural folds in good and clean habits, skill oriented training to youngsters of the village and giving coaching to school going children, conduct of Medical, Dental, blood donation and Vetnary camps during the Annual Camp period.NSS unit also adopts a village and render services periodically.

Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE)

ISTE is professional body contributing for the development of Technical Education. Student’s chapter of ISTE has been established in our Institution and is functioning for the past Ten years. ISTE student’s chapter arranges Technical seminars, Symposium, Quiz Programmes, Guest Lectures and career guidance programmes for the benefit of the students. All the students of our institution have to become members of the chapter by submitting the application and membership fee of Rs.150/-

Red Ribbon Club

Red Ribbon Club with the objective of personality development in youngsters, creation of AIDS awareness and youth awareness is functioning actively.

Physical Education

Physical Training activities are carried out as part of extracurricular activities to keep the students physically fit and mentally alert. Adequate facilities are provided to the students for taking part in games and sports.
